This week has been a bit different for me with my baby recovering from her surgery. I have enjoyed spending time cuddling my baby as she healed. We have watched a lot of Aladdin, Doc McStuffins, and Frozen. One of the things I have had less time to do is cook. We have had a little cooler weather so I… View Post
This week has been a new experience for me. My baby went in for surgery! Yikes! She just needed to have her tonsils and adenoids removed but still, I was anxious. I made sure to stock up on popsicles, ice cream, applesauce and pudding for her. And I wanted to make her a sweet little stuffed toy to take into the… View Post
My mint is growing like crazy! And that mean’s mint limeade for my kids. They love mint limeade so much, which is fine by me because I love mint limeade too :). But one thing I don’t love is the absurd amount of sugar in limeade. Now we do eat our fair share of sugar at our house, but we… View Post
How did the best month of the year sneak up on me? July was so busy that I didn’t realize August was here until it arrived! And August is definitely my favorite month (even above December which is full of Christmas).
Raising kids is fun. It helps you to see all the things you are doing wrong! Most days, if I don’t take my breakfast in a cup, I don’t get it. And a cup of coffee really isn’t an appropriate breakfast.
Last weekend we went camping, I was getting ready to make a loaf of bread to take with us for our lunches and decided I wanted something with a little more tooth to it. Going into the mountains, planning on lots of hiking, made me want a bread that would really give me tons of nutrients. So I opened my… View Post
One of the hardest things about remodeling your house slowly, you are ready to remodel the rooms you started with before you are done with all the other rooms! That is how slowly I am working my way through our house 🙂 We started with the basement about 2 years after we moved in. The basement was “finished” in parts… View Post
This weekend we went camping. I love camping, but it can be a lot of work, especially with kids. And then we did a lot of hiking while we were there, and my kids can’t always hike as far as we want so I did a lot of carrying kids while hiking! So now I am SORE! My muscles ache… View Post
