My sweet little daughter has been watching me sewing these past few weeks working on curtains and placemats and all things fun for the home. And every time I sit down to sew, she pipes up “Are you making a dress for me???”. She apparently wants me to sew her something!
This is the ultimate lazy recipe! Summer has been so hot this year and we are running around in the heat all day. When it comes time for dinner, I am tired and unmotivated! Today, we had sandwiches for dinner. I did try to fancy them up by making some flavored mayonnaise to go on them with all the fresh… View Post
Summer evenings are the best, aren’t they?!? The nights cool off a little bit and our side patio is on the east side of the house so by 4ish it is totally shaded. It makes for a beautiful place to enjoy dinner outside! I still haven’t put legs on my picnic table that I bought the top for years ago,… View Post
June is almost over! I cannot believe how fast this summer is flying by. We have been so busy with swim lessons, family reunions, farmer’s markets, and all things summer. Busy is good, but I am hot and tired. The crazy June heat is relentless here in Utah and I’m ready for some summer storms!
We go through Greek yogurt faster than we do milk in our house. We use Greek yogurt in our daily green smoothies, I have a pancake recipe that I have started putting Greek yogurt into that is delicious (and the kids love pancakes), we use it in popsicles, cooking, everything! A nice white painted beadboard will never go out of style. But since we lined the nursery with the beadboard, we… View Post
I’ve been hard at work on a new surface pattern collection. I was inspired by the umbrellas at the sea shore but I didn’t want to go with the normal bright summer colors. I wanted to use more subtle vintage inspired hues. Then because I was going with a more vintage color palette, the idea morphed into a pattern collection… View Post
The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and the kale in my garden is growing INSANELY well! We love to grow kale because it grows so fast in the heat, doesn’t get bitter like lettuces, and never looks sad and droopy when it gets hot. And it’s been getting really hot here. Like, abnormally hot.
Father’s Day is this weekend. I don’t know how you celebrate, but my husband always wants to go hiking. June is the perfect time to go hiking in Utah. The mountains are so crisp and green, but warm enough that you don’t need a jacket. This year might be a bit warmer, we are on fire here in Utah! I… View Post
