I can’t believe January 2016 is almost over! January is always such a fun month of new beginnings. If you remember I started my month by sharing my project resolutions for the New Year, specifically what I wanted to work on in January. Now as I am working on designs for the free digital backgrounds for February I am reflecting on how I did in January. And I hate to admit, I didn’t achieve as much as I wanted 🙁
I had plans to do a lot last month. I did get a good start on the drywall in our master bathroom, if you can call finishing the patching so I can start on the drywall mud a good start. Then I got busy doing fun things, like joining a Valentine’s Day budget craft blog hop and working on my kid’s class valentines (see them here and here). Luckily, I did get all the details of our new coffee station photographed and shared with you, including the plans for the console table! At least I was able to cross one thing of my list!
Now I need to make plans for next month’s projects. I am starting the month (Feb 1-14) with 14 Days of Popcorn! I am excited to share my family’s favorite popcorn recipes as well as having a blast creating a few new flavors. So starting tomorrow, I will have a new post every morning for all your snacking needs.
Because all next week I will be very involved with the week long book fair at my son’s school, I am not planning on working on any projects. But after that, I WILL GET THE DRYWALL IN THE MASTER BATHROOM DONE! (I am not yelling at you, I am yelling at myself to just get it done already). Then, I will be able to dive into the sofa reupholstery project I am eager to figure out.
Whew, do you think I will be able to accomplish all of this in February? I hope so. And I hope that these beautiful free digital backgrounds for February will help me stay organized. I am completely hooked on having a calendar on my phone’s home screen. It’s a lifesaver when I need to make plans quickly. And I swear I am running around more and more everyday. But I also like to just have something pretty, so I created two backgrounds again. One with a calendar and one with a little Valentine’s Day love!
This month I also tried something new. Instead of creating the free backgrounds completely on the computer, I used my new love of photography and took a picture of my favorite reclaimed wood. Then I made it into something fun with some digital designs. I hope you like them because I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out and you will probably see more photographs in the mix now.

And don’t forget to come back tomorrow, I am starting the 14 Days of Popcorn with my all time favorite recipe…
