Get ready to update your home by looking back at the most popular DIY projects from last year.
The year is coming to an end and I always love to look back at what projects you, my readers, loved the most.
These top 10 DIY projects were determined by which posts had the most page views during the year. And you would think that meant that only projects from the beginning of the year made the list…
But nope, some of the top 10 were projects made late in the year. Number 3 was actually made in November. It was so popular, that it jumped to the top of the list that fast!

Popular DIY Projects from 2019
These are the most popular DIY projects for the year! If you are planning any home renovations or DIYs in the New Year, this is the perfect place to start.
After building all the cabinets in our own kitchen, you guys have been asking for a How To! This year I wrote down all the information you need to understand the basics of building your own cabinets.
This comprehensive guide is the perfect place to start if you want to build any cabinets from built-ins, to bathroom vanities, to kitchen cabinets and islands.
The simple 3D design of these pumpkins rocketed them to the top of the list. These were made with the X-carve CNC machine, but you can also make them using a jig saw or scroll saw.
Plus, you don't have to make just pumpkins in this cool 3D design... the possibilites are endless!
It's always a good day for building, especially when you are building this fun modern take on a letter board.
Instead of felt covered grooves, this sliding letter board uses a router to create a channel for inexpwensive lightbox letters to sit into. Have fun changing out the sayings to match your mood!
This one was less of a project, but another How To. I showed you how to use the newest Kreg pocket hole jig while building these fun (and super easy) plant stands.
And bonus, the new jig is super small and affordable so it's great for a beginner DIYer.
It warms my heart that these propagation vases are in the top 10 because they are one of my favorites from the year! I have already propagated and planted 5 new plants for our home!
The jewel shaped test tube holders are made out of a piece of cardstock! You will never believe how easy this fun DIY is, and then you can start propagating your own plants too.
These gorgeous art prints are not really a DIY, but an easy way to add art to your home. I had so much fun combining my love of building with my art to make these prints.
You can print 1 to add into your decor or all 4 to make a statement wall. Either way, the fun vintage birdhouse plans will make you ready to grab a hammer and have some fun DIYing this spring.
Craft room organization is always a popular thing. If your craft room is anything like mine, I can understand why!
This easy wall mounted vinyl storage holds so much vinyl. I love that I can easily see what I have so I can get to making more crafts!
This DIY is super quick and so useful! The entire build took less than an hour, but it looks so fancy on the nightstand.
If you need a place to store all the things that come out of a pocket, or a great gift idea, this is the perfect DIY to add to you list in 2020.
This simple vanity was elevated to amazing by using wood with loads of character. The striations on the ash wood we chose made the vanity look so expensive.
And this vanity is an easy one to build, but has lots of storage. Use whatever wood works in your space, I promise you will fall in love with it!
I guess it makes sense that we start and end the list with cabinet projects! Last year we took on our own kitchen remodel and made all new cabinets. This year we redid our brother's kitchen and painted their old cabinets to bring them back to life.
It was a much cheaper way to get an amazing kitchen makeover. If you have been thinking of painting your kitchen cabinets, we share all the tips and tricks here.
There are so many great projects to get you started on your DIY list for 2020!
